Handmade Horse Hair Pottery - by G. Benally
This pottery is a handmade Navajo original. The intricate designs are crafted by using real horse hair that is applied to the pottery at just the right moment in the firing process. Afterward, the pottery is finished by hand etching and painting over the horse hair ceramic. The pot is signed by the artist, G. Benally, who lives and creates artwork on his Navajo land in New Mexico.
